Chrysanthemum Tea Benefits


Chrysanthemum Tea Benefits have been revered by generations of Chinese and Oriental peoples.


The chrysanthemum plant is native to China, Japan and other countries in East Asia where it grows in the wild. The chrysanthemum is a leafy plant that is adorned with clusters of daisy-like flowers at its crown.


The chrysanthemum was said to have originated in China and was introduced to Japan by the 8th century C.E. The Japanese made the flower the official seal of the Emperor and today still figures prominently in the annals of traditional Japanese medicine.


The constituents of chrysanthemum are vitamin C, beta-cartone, calcium, fiber, folacin, iron, magnesium, niacin, potassium and riboflavin.


To prepare chrysanthemum tea, dried flowers should be infused in hot water for about 5 minutes. Chrysanthemum tea is slightly yellow in color and has a floral aroma and taste.
